Description
With this brand launched in 2009, Nathalie Haussmann pays tribute to her great great uncle, Baron Haussmann and creates Haussmann Baron Eugène, a range of elegant and refined wines, reflecting the values of the family coat of arms.
Choosing Haussmann means choosing a constant and always controlled quality. Nathalie Haussmann has chosen to develop a long-term partnership with Bordeaux vineyard owners. This partnership gives the range a unique place in the world of branded wines, supplying estate bottled, ‘grower wines’.
Nature of soils: Clay silty soil. Grape varieties: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification : The harvest is carried out with the greatest respect for the grapes. After a light crushing, the harvest is transferred to thermoregulated stainless steel tanks where successive load shedding continues to release the juices gradually. Maceration lasts about 3 weeks.
Haussmann Baron Eugène’s Médoc cuvée is characterized by a deep garnet color, as well as a nose of very ripe black fruits. It has a dense, smooth, and delicious mouth on the crunchy fruit.
Enjoyable at all times or over a period of 3 to 5 years after careful cellaring. Ideal with red grilled meat, as well as a cheeses platter
