Description
With this brand launched in 2009, Nathalie Haussmann pays tribute to her great great uncle, Baron Haussmann and creates Haussmann Baron Eugène, a range of elegant and refined wines, reflecting the values of the family coat of arms.
Choosing Haussmann means choosing a constant and always controlled quality. Nathalie Haussmann has chosen to develop a long-term partnership with Bordeaux vineyard owners. This partnership gives the range a unique place in the world of branded wines, supplying estate bottled, ‘grower wines’.
Nature of soils: Clay-limestone. Grape varieties: Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle. Vinification: Manual harvest. After fermentation and traditional vinification, the wine is aged in tanks.
Haussmann Baron Eugène’s Sauternes cuvée is characterized by a bright golden yellow color. Rich nose of ripe yellow fruits, dried fruits with honey notes. Powerful palate. Complete and well-balanced structure with aromas of exotic fruits. Good finsh, fruity and spicy.
Enjoyable at all times as an aperitif or with fruit-based desserts, this wine will also be appreciated with sweet and savoury dishes.
